I hate arts and crafts, my house has a "lived in" look and I once threw away a perfectly good pair of pants because I couldn't sew on the button. I don't trust anyone that scrapbooks or doesn't like buttercream icing. I'm not a fan of the outdoors and once took a television on a camping trip so I could watch the Miss America pagent. My favorite thing in the world is public speaking and leading in praise and worship. I enjoy traveling to churches and women's groups all over the place who let me come in and do just that! I'm about to finish up a Master's Degree at Seminary; God asked me to do this and I wish I would have argued with Him a little bit longer. There is no greater love in my life than that of my husband, "the Attorney General", my daughter Remi and my brand new boy, Rocco. And we waited 9 long years for every fit and giggle. When I need a good laugh I call my mom. When I need a good "fix" I eat sushi. The hardest time of the year for me is when LOST is in reruns. And I believe TiVo saved my marriage. Well, as they say, "enough about me, let's talk about you... whaddayathink about me?"

If you were to Google "Stretch Marks" (and if you were, you're having a really slow day)
here are some things you will read:

"Stretch marks are sort of a badge of honor in being a woman...and a mother."
Really? Because I would much rather wear a literal badge on my Sunday clothes than to have these things.

"Everyone likes and wants a perfect body with no special marks..."
I would agree with this statement. I would also like to meet the woman who has none on her body. Then I would like for someone to hold her down for me.

"The exact cause for a stretch mark is due to the skin being pulled..."
And here we are folks. Here's the real reason for such a name. Being pulled.
I'm pulled to the left and I'm pulled to the right.
I need to do this. But I want to do this.
This is priority. This is not.
This is easy. This is hard.
And through all of it we are being pulled.
In my 30+ years of serving the Lord, if there's one thing I've been - it's pulled.
But with every tug, I've grown, and changed. Matured and learned. I've won. And lost.
I've laughed. And sobbed.
And I have every mark to prove it.
And I wear them all...with pride.
